Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Bilbao, Spain!
Bilbao is the commercial and cultural heart of Spain's Basque region, located along the northern edge of Spain, near the French border to the east and the Bay of Biscay coast and Atlantic Ocean just to the north, along the Nervion River. As a major regional rail hub, all towns throughout the Basque region, as well as towns across the border in France, are easily accessible from Bilbao within a few hours. The Basque region's Ebro River valley has provided the perfect climate and soil for the uniquely flavored La Rioja wine since before the Romans flourished, which has been a popular export throughout Europe since the 12th century. The Basque region is decidedly European in flavor and spirit, but there is nothing like the unique combination of gastronomy, climate and dialect anywhere else in Spain.
